On October 13, the "Shingo Train Neputa", which was modeled after the vehicle "Dream Canvas" painted by the talent Shingo Katori, was operated on the Tsugaru Railway.

The "Yume no Canvas" at Kase Station on the Tsugaru Railway (Kanagi, Goshogawara City) was exhibited outdoors in a train that Katori drew with local children in a 1997 television program. Was there. The train, which had deteriorated over the years, was newly repainted in May last year by Mr. Katori and the children at that time, and it attracted much attention.

According to Ms. Michiko Oeda of the Tsugaru Peninsula Tourism Attendant Promotion Council, the Neputa Train has been on track for the first time in four years, and this is the fourth time. "I was impressed by the relationship between Katori-san and the children who had been repainted even after 21 years, and I wanted to run the Canvas as a Neputa train," he said.

It is said that the picture drawn on the canvas issue was copied as a Neputa picture. It took about a month to start from the skeleton, paste the paper, proceed with the work such as rough sketch, writing brush, and waxing. "The people of "NAKAMA" who support Katori from all over the country rushed and received their support and cooperation," says Mr. Koeda. "I even dreamed that Katori would appear on the day of operation," he said.

The free exhibition started at Tsugaru Goshogawara Station from 15:30 on the same day and left the station at 19:06. The train departed took about 3 hours to reach Tsugaru Nakazato Station, the end point 20 km away. At the time of departure, not only locals but also visitors from outside the prefecture rushed to the platform, pointing their cameras and mobile phones.

At Kase station, the dream canvas and Shingo train Neputa lined up, and many people showed a lively atmosphere. A 30-year-old man who came from Tokyo said, “I was impressed by how many people gathered at such a remote unmanned station, and late at night. Of course, Mr. Katori's charm that attracts people regardless of generation It was really nice to be able to feel the heat of the people."

The train will be stored in the future and will be shown at events.
