The Hirosaki Neputa Festival opened on August 1 in the central city of Hirosaki.

The festival, which is designated as an important intangible folk cultural property, is operated by a combination of fan-shaped Neputa floats, and features the yelling of "Yayadoh". A total of 77 groups participated this year, and 39 groups participated on this day, the first day. Directed the night of Hirosaki.

The large bird that served as a joint operation was the "Goujoppari Dai-Taiko" drum, which was revived for the first time in 6 years and has a diameter of about 4 meters.
