    At the Hirosaki City Museum (Shimohiragincho, Hirosaki City), a special exhibition “Kinoyoshi Utagawa Kuniyoshi” is currently being held.

    This exhibition introduces 152 masterpieces of Ukiyoe artist Kuniyoshi Utagawa (1797-1861) at the end of the Edo period. The work is divided into 7 themes, "Dandy actors and Date man" and "Stylish and humor parody". According to curator Takahito Munekata, there are many "Suikoden" series which are the original paintings of Hirosaki Neputa. I had it adjusted."

    It is rare in Aomori Prefecture to display ukiyo-e paintings only in Utagawa, and the appearance of children who have been booming since the first day is also outstanding. “There are many works that are not old-fashioned and are familiar to modern manga. The classic bone-like bones of “Soma's Furuuchi Ura” that you may have seen at one time, and the “Hogaro-Kurabe no Mudasho” that has become increasingly popular in recent years. "The cats that wear the Japanese towel and dance are also on display," says Munakata.

    The curators will hold a gallery talk every Sunday from 14:00 during the exhibition. Free to attend. Goods will also be sold at the venue, and about 300 kinds of postcards, clear files, tote bags will be prepared.

    At the same time as the exhibition, "Obanzai set meal," which was provided at lunchtime (11:00 to 14:30) at "Craft & Japanese Cafe Takumikan" (Shimohiragincho), was used as a collaboration menu with "Kintoki Mame" and "Kontoki Mame". Prepare by adding "Kinpira burdock". The exhibition staff said, "Please enjoy the food in a modest way, using the ingredients derived from the work."
