On April 24th, a coffee shop "PINO Coffee Roaster" (Inakadate Village Tokoji Temple, TEL 0172-55-7553) opened in Aomori/Inakadate.

The shop opened with the thought of the owner, Takayuki Matsuyama, who wants us to enjoy coffee casually. In the store, you can enjoy coffee and espresso that is dripped one by one using home-roasted coffee beans.

“When I traveled to Italy, Italians had a habit of drinking many coffees at the same bar (light cafe, bar) a day,” Matsuyama recalls. Aomori also shows his ambition to establish a bar culture like that of Italians.

Mr. Matsuyama who worked in the cafe department of a confectionery maker in Tokyo. After returning home, he worked at "Narita Senzo Coffee Shop" (Shiro Tohoku, Hirosaki City) and gained experience in coffee. Mr. Matsuyama said that coffee has a wide variety of tastes, depending on the style and country of origin of coffee beans.

The store area is 12 tsubo and the number of seats is 11. Matsuyama says he was particular about the height of the counter. "We made it easy to stand up and drink coffee and see the espresso machine and drip. The name Pinot means pine in Italian. I named it from my name," he said.

The menu includes beans such as drip coffee (400 yen), espresso (250 yen), cappuccino (400 yen), cafe mocha (450 yen), which vary depending on the day. There is also an ice menu, and take-out is also available. It also sells coffee beans (100 grams = 500 yen and up).

Mr. Matsuyama said, "I also thought about opening stores in urban areas such as Hirosaki and Kuroishi, but I gave up considering the smoke emitted when roasting. I think that it is a unique store opening in the rural area with only rice fields and fields. However, since there are many cars coming and going, we have a chance. We want to make the store so that even farmers can drop in during the work."

Business hours are from 10:00 to 19:00. Closed Wednesday and 4th Thursday.
