In March, Hirosaki City completed land readjustment for the Hirosaki station north district.

Hirosaki station front north district located about 200 meters northwest of JR Hirosaki station. The land readjustment project started construction of approximately 11.2 hectares in the same area in 2004 as the third stage of the Hirosaki wide area urban planning project. It was scheduled to be completed by the end of 2017 (Heisei 29), but due to some redevelopment and delays in construction, the schedule has been postponed to completion by the end of 2018 (Heisei 30).

In the same construction, the improvement of public facilities will be improved, and the snow melting facilities that utilize underground water heat and groundwater heat will be installed on the road. Ekimae Kita Park with a disaster prevention function was newly established. The park is divided into three zones. In the "lively zone", a neputa hut will be set up in the summer, and in the winter, it will be a snow storage area where sprinklers can be used to "remove snow."

Currently, the drug store “Tsuruha Drug Hirosaki Ekimae Store” is operating in the area, and commercial facilities such as the drug store “Mega” scheduled to open this spring are being constructed. Next to Tsuruha Drag will also build a 15th-floor tower-type condominium "Polestar Hirosaki Premier".

The Ekimaemachi Tojo Line and Ekimae 2-Chome Line roads are scheduled to start operation at 14:00 on March 28, and a new road from Ito-Yokado Hirosaki store to Watoku Elementary School will open.
