On March 12, the Aomori dance and vocal unit "Ringo Musume" reported the release of the new song "101st Sakura" to Sakuramori in Hirosaki Park.

Apple Musume is a local idol with the aim of promoting Aomori and revitalizing agriculture through music and entertaining activities in and around Aomori Prefecture centered around Hirosaki. The names of all the members are apple varieties, and now there are four people, Orin, Toki, Jonagold, and Saika.

The song, which will be released on April 3, is the 18th song from the debut single "LOVE & SOLDIER" released in September 2000 when the activity started. Composed and arranged by Shinya Tada and Mashin Ikuta, who also have experience with songs such as "AKB48" and "Arashi". The two participated in the production from the 16th single "Ringo star", and this is the third time. The lyrics were co-written by Apple Music representative Shinichi Hikawa and Tada.

On the same day, the apple girl visited Mr. Masaru Kobayashi, a tree doctor "Sakuramori" who manages the cherry trees in Hirosaki Park. According to Mr. Hikawa, he came up with an idea for a new song with the theme of cherry blossoms and visited Mr. Kobayashi with Mr. Tada last autumn.

Mr. Tada said, "Despite the misguided questions such as "Is there feeling in the trees?" or "Is the cherry blossom not dying?", Kobayashi answered politely. The answer "Sakura does not die" has a great influence on the lyrics of this song."

The song is a ballad that sings "The View of Life and Death", "I made it while I was lost," said Tada. The recording was done in Tokyo. “The theme was difficult, so I recorded as much as an idol in a short time,” he recalls.

Mr. Kobayashi, who listened to the song, said, "I had some resistance when it came to being an idol song, but I could hear it even for an elderly person like me." Makiko Hashiba of Sakuramori says, “Every year when the cherry blossoms bloom, I feel like “Thank you for blooming.” I sing that feeling and it might be perfect to hear when it falls.”

Apple apple leader Obayashi said, “The Hirosaki Sakura Festival is 100 years old this year. It is the 101st time with the thought that it will be a chance to come again next year. I can see cherry blossoms again this year with my important people. I want to convey my gratitude that I can."

The price is 1,000 yen. The release date is April 3rd.
