"Soma Marugoto Festa" will be held on January 20 and 21 at Hiroro Square on the 3rd floor of Hiroro, a commercial complex in Hirosaki (Ekimae-cho, Hirosaki City).

The event started last year to convey the charm of the Soma area of Hirosaki City (former Soma Village), which has been 10 years since the merger of municipalities. The organizer is the "Soma Marugoto Festa Executive Committee," which is organized by people who are related to the area and residents of Soma.

"Shrimp fishing experience" will be conducted by "Soma shrimp aquaculture production association" (Satomi Gosho). The production union celebrated its 30th anniversary last year and was featured on national television. It is rare to open a store outside the same area, and it is said that it was sold out at the store last year. This year, we will increase the number of shrimp compared to last year. Shrimp fishing is 200 yen per fish.

At the workshop corner, "paper making experience" and "apple cake making experience" will be held. The "Paper Suki Experience" will be exhibited from the Kamisawa area in the Soma area. In the same area, there is the legend of the 3rd generation Emperor Chokei of the Nan Dynasty, and the technique of making paper from ancient times. In this experience, we will make use of traditional techniques and experience making postcards. The apple cake making experience will be held twice at 10:30 and 13:30 on both days. Applications will be accepted from 30 minutes before the start. First come, first served.

In the light meal corner, we sell "Motsuke no soup" (300 yen), which is a combination of the stew of Narita Shoten (Goshonozawa) and Tsugaru's traditional food "Keno soup". Popular with local farmers and students, we will increase sales volume from last year to respond. Soma apples and tarts are also sold at the special products corner.
