"Starbucks Coffee Hirosaki Sakurano Store" (TEL 0172-29-6851) will open on October 3rd near Sakurano Department Store Hirosaki Store (Takasaki, Hirosaki City).

The store will open as a drive-through store on the same site as the "Sushiro Hirosaki Sakurano SC Store" that opened in August. Starbucks Coffee Japan (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo) will be the second store in Hirosaki and the ninth store in Aomori prefecture.

The store area is 50 tsubo. In addition to 55 seats in the store and 9 seats on the terrace, three dog poles and a bench seat for about 20 people were provided near the entrance outside the store so that coffee can be enjoyed outside. The wall on the east side is made of glass so as to take in a lot of natural light, and wood such as zelkova, apples, and cherry trees is used as the accent wall that surrounds the art of the coffee production area.

Kenichiro Takahashi, the store's store manager, shows his motivation to "give the staff a sense of Hirosaki." At the entrance of the store, a sleeve for embroidery and Tsugaru kogin sashimi from Tsugaru region is placed, and the Starbucks logo mark Siren (mermaid) is displayed. "They are all handmade by the staff. The logos are still being produced by the participants of the Tsugaru Kogin Sashi Workshop, which was held at the Hirosaki Park store, one by one."

Mr. Takahashi is also enthusiastic about "making it more exciting with the surrounding stores so that it will make the whole of Hirosaki more exciting."
