On September 21, the pancake cafe "cafe202 Sakurano Hirosaki store" opened on the first floor of the Sakurano Department Store Hirosaki store (Hirosaki City Tohoku).

The store opened in Aomori City as a coworking space and was renewed as a cafe mainly handling pancakes from April 2015. The store name is derived from the room number of the building tenant of the Aomori store. Sakurano Hirosaki store will be the second store.

Mr. Toshikazu Fukui, the owner, reveals the reason why he started offering pancakes because he liked it. He calls himself "sweets boys," and says he likes making and eating. "I went to Tokyo, and when I was busy, I ate pancakes seven times a day," he said.

The store area is about 30 tsubo and the number of seats is 57. Like the Aomori store, the concept of the store is to inherit the "home away from home where you can take off your shoes" and the main target is "visitors with children." Mr. Fukui said, "Mom often withdraws when a child cries, even if there is a children's space or a children's playroom. He/she takes it out. Don't hesitate to bring it to us. I want you to come."

Menu items such as "Extra-thick pancake deluxe" (1,980 yen), "Extra-thick pancake" (1,080 yen) and "Chocolate banana and granola" (1,320 yen) are offered as pancakes about 7 cm thick. Mr. Fukui is confident that he will be the thickest in Japan according to the survey by our shop. Seven types of Hawaiian pancakes (890 yen and up) are original pancakes made from wheat flour from Aomori Prefecture, and can be used with toppings such as increased whipping (150 yen) and additional pancakes (200 yen). A pasta menu and children's pancake set (580 yen) are also available.

The Aomori store also came with children from outside the prefecture. Mr. Fukui says, "We want to provide a place where mothers can relax in our shop."
