A recycling event “#8 Cleaning Day Tsugaru Park Regeneration Project” will be held on August 26 and 27 at Ichiura Onuma Park (Goshogawara City, Aomori Prefecture).

The event started in Finland with the aim of lowering the recycling hurdle. On the day, under the concept of "upcycle market", we will not only reuse and recycle things, but also develop initiatives to find new value and usefulness for things.

This is the 8th time Aomori has been held. On the same day, "Cleaning Day" will be held at about 50 venues in 13 areas nationwide.

Takeya Kajiura of the executive committee recalls, "When I rebuilt the house, I was in trouble about how to dispose of things that existed in the old house. I found the cleaning day on the Internet, which led to the event."

This is the first time to hold it outdoors. Mr. Kajiura said, “I used to open it at the shopping mall ELM (Karagasanagi Fujimaki), but the size has grown year by year and I was looking for a new place, and Ichiura Onuma Park was the condition. There are few people in the prefecture who know the park, which has a covered wooden bridge, and it is one of the purposes of this time to "upcycle" the entire area."

On the day of the event, about 60 stores, the largest number ever, will open, with some from Akita and Tokyo. In addition to local artists appearing at the venue stage, you can also jump in and participate. In addition to selling goods and workshops at each booth, we will hold "Shijimi scooping" at Roadside Station and Lake Tosan Green Park Totomu Green Park (Mitsutori Aiuchi).
