From April 22, the Hirosaki confectionery maker "Sato Seika" (Tsugano, Hirosaki, TEL 0172-34-3356) will sell a limited-time product "Petit/Ohanami bun" which is planned for the Sakura Festival.

Established in 1952 (Showa 27), the store manufactures and sells "genuine (lottery) lots", candy "Daio ban", "itohiki", "potato ban" etc.

Hanami Manju has been on sale for over 20 years for a limited time only at the Hirosaki Sakura Festival. This is the first time to sell with lottery.

The lottery board used for "this item" has an illustration of Enma Daio, and it is known as "There is no stranger in the Tsugaru region." According to Rikio Sato of Sato Seika, there were several companies in the Tsugaru region until around 1965, but only Sato Seika currently manufactures them. In order to protect and spread the traditional Tsugaru culture, he planned a new product that combines Hanami Manju and lottery.

Mr. Sato said, "We made the product compact and fun to play." A lottery mount that can be pulled 14 times is enclosed in two sizes of hand-made manju, with salt and cherry blossoms added to taste and appearance.

Mr. Sato said, “I have been supported by local repeaters who look forward to the Hanami Manju sold at this time every year. From now on, I would like to help people outside the prefecture to know about Hanami Manju and lots of sweets with lottery. I want to put it in.”

During the cherry blossom festival (April 22-May 7), it will be sold at the product hall in Hirosaki Park, Tsugaru Domain Neputa Village (Kameiko Town, Hirosaki City), Hirosaki Bussan Pulsea (Omotemachi, Hirosaki City).

The price for 11 pieces is 1,000 yen (sold out as soon as the number of preparations is exhausted).
