Aomori smart driver aiming to improve transportation manners held a traffic safety class for children at the Eastern Children's Center (Hirosaki City Denen) on June 21st.

This project is an effort to reduce traffic accidents through communication between drivers and compassion, rather than restricting and improving traffic safety. It started in 2007 when broadcast writer Kaoru Koyama called for it. Aomori has been active since 2010.

Aomori local idol "Ringo Musume" and motor school (Izumi) mascot character "Nyamotan" participated in the classroom. An uncle disguised as a disguise also appeared to show a sample of bad traffic manners, and invited about 60 children who gathered to laugh.

After learning how to cross the pedestrian crossing correctly and how to ride by bicycle in a skit style, some children raised their hands and participated. At the end, a "Yuruya umbrella" with the design of the project will be presented as a surprise. A joyful voice was heard from the children who won the rock-paper-scissors game of apple girl.

Mr. Satoru Munakata of the project said, "I think it was an event that children can learn about traffic manners in a fun way. If we could disseminate such activities from the local areas," he said.
