A study group "Drone Study Group" was held in Hirosaki City on October 15th and 16th to explore the possibilities of drone business.

This project invited Atsushi Taguchi of "Drone Emotion" (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo), which is developing a business for regional revitalization with drone aerial photography. On the 15th, a study session was held at Hiroro Square (Ekimae-cho, Hirosaki City), and on the 16th, the operation experience of actually flying a drone was held.

Mr. Taguchi introduced examples of using drones for aerial photography, as well as pesticide spraying and observation data collection. He touched on the possibility of widespread usage in Aomori, saying, "The drone industry develops faster than the IT industry was called "Dog Year."

According to Mr. Taguchi, when he visited Hirosaki in April of this year, he shot a drone at Hirosaki Castle and Zenrin Street. "We applied to the local police for a road permit, and submitted the necessary applications to each administrative agency," he said.

In the drone flight experience, we introduced DJI's latest model "Mavic Pro" and small model less than 200 grams "DOBBY". Participants commented, "I was surprised by the stable flight despite the strong wind." "I was impressed by the function of recognizing people and shooting while tracking."

Mr. Taguchi says, "In the Kanto area, drones cannot be easily flown as a densely populated area, and even practice is not possible. In such a point, the local area is more advantageous and the usage will be diverse."

Hideyuki Aiuchi of the Hirosaki Future Lab, who sponsored the event, said, “In Aomori, there are fewer opportunities to experience new technologies than in Tokyo. We will continue to hold such study sessions so that we can experience new technologies and use them locally. I want to think about it".
