On July 29th, an apple-shaped "apple apple lantern" was lit in front of the JR Hirosaki Station central exit station.

This effort was carried out as part of the "Apple Kingdom", which promotes the apples produced in the prefecture with Hirosaki as one kingdom. According to the secretariat of the Apple Kingdom Promotion Council, the "Apple Fully Project" proposed by the Hirosaki Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Youth Department was considered, and the idea was to install apple-shaped lanterns to make Hirosaki even more lively.

150 lanterns installed in front of Hirosaki station. Initially, there were only red apples, but JA Tsugaru Hirosaki Youth Department said that they wanted three PR colors to promote not only red but also yellow and green apples. The king of the "Apple Kingdom" is drawn in the center of the lamp. “There are illustrations of the minister as well as the king, so I definitely want you to look for it,” says Noriko Maeda of the youth department.

Maeda says, "We want people who visit Hirosaki to enjoy sightseeing in Hirosaki as much as possible. If we can make the feeling of welcoming the tourists of Hirosaki even a little."

Lighting time is from 18:45 to 24:30. Installation is until early December.
