On June 30, Kinokuniya Bookstore Hirosaki store (Hirosaki-shi, Dote-cho) began to display setting images and background images of the animation “Flying Witch”.

This work depicts the everyday life of a high school girl witch, Makoto Kohata, set in Hirosaki. The original is a manga of the same name serialized in "Separate Volume Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha). The author, Chihiro Ishizuka, is from Hirosaki and also writes in Hirosaki.

Anime broadcasting started on April 29, 2006 on Nippon Television, and ended on June 26 (scheduled for Aomori Broadcasting on July 9). In April of the same store, a manga reproduction exhibition was held. This time, 62 pieces including anime character setting images and background images will be exhibited.

“I hear that the number of pilgrims who go to the sacred place to go around the stage has begun with anime, and I want you to feel free to stop by,” said the person in charge of the store.

Holding time is from 10:00 to 19:00. Until July 26.
