On May 26, Hirosaki opened a bicycle shop "CHAMPION SHIP BIKES" (TEL 0172-88-6460, Dote-cho, Hirosaki City).

The store has more than 40 types of vintage bikes and original bicycles and about 100 related accessories and parts. The store area is 15 tsubo.

In the store, there are BMC road bikes (starting from 210,000 yen), Ridley's latest road bikes, single speed, city bikes with internal gear change, flight baggage backpacks (50,000 ~) purchased directly overseas etc. Line up messenger bags for business use. In addition to sales, we also offer consultation on repairs and maintenance.

Kazutaka Sato, the store manager, belonged to the ski club when he was in high school, and riding a road bike as a summer practice led to an interest in bicycles. After graduating from high school, he acquired the qualifications of "bicycle safety mechanic" and "bicycle technician" and worked as a mechanic at Y's Road, a sports cycle specialty store in Tokyo.

Mr. Sato, who was thinking of having his own store in Hirosaki in the future, wanted to propose not only the maintenance of bicycles but also how to ride and enjoy, and started messenger after he was 30 years old. Through about three years of work experience, he learned the depth of bicycles and the street culture of messengers. Starting in February of this year, we visited five countries such as the United States and the Netherlands from February of this year to experience purchasing products and riding bicycles overseas.

Mr. Sato is enthusiastic, "I say fashion is from the feet, but the bicycle is below the shoes. I want to make the life with a bicycle root more in Hirosaki."
