At Hirosaki Park (Shirogin-cho, Hirosaki City), cherry blossoms are now in full bloom, and people who enjoy cherry blossom viewing are beginning to show a lively atmosphere.

According to Hirosaki City's announcement of flowering conditions as of April 20, the standard trees in the park and the outer moat were in bloom for two minutes, and the cherry blossom tunnel in Nishibori was confirmed to bloom on the same day two days later than last year. The expected full bloom date is 23 days for standard trees, 22 days for outer moat and 25 days for cherry blossom tunnel. The park is already in full bloom with cherry blossoms such as Edhigan in the citizen's square, the picnic square, and Benisidale in the main circle/northern area.

This year was the first year that the Hirosaki castle tower was towed, and although you cannot see the Hirosaki castle tower from the standard spot seen from Shimochibashi, there were many visitors who stopped and took pictures. The Hirosaki castle tower will return to its original position in 2021.

The Sakura Festival Headquarters announced at 18:00 on April 20 that there were about 40,000 people on the same day. The cumulative total of the "quasi-sakura festival" that started on the 16th was 130,000.

Hirosaki Sakura Festival starts from the 23rd of this month.
