Aomori Prefecture began distributing ``Bath Utensils IN CAR Stickers'' on December 13th.

The 12cm square sticker, which was made primarily to be placed on cars, depicts the shape of Aomori Prefecture and alerts anyone who sees it that there are bath utensils in the car. Yuki Mikami of the Tourism Planning Division of the Aomori Prefecture Tourism and International Strategy Bureau says, ``We created this as an effort to disseminate Aomori Prefecture's bath culture both inside and outside the prefecture.''

According to the "Pikaichi Data 100!" published by Aomori Prefecture, Aomori Prefecture boasts the highest number of public baths per 100,000 people, the highest in the nation at 23.0, and the number of hot springs at 127, the fifth highest in the nation. According to Mikami, he noticed that many people in Aomori Prefecture have a habit of storing bath supplies in their cars.
