Konan Railway will extend the operation of the Owani Line event train "Kingyo Neputa Train" until October 1st.

The "Goldfish Neputa Train" is decorated with 350 lanterns called "Goldfish Neputa" inside the train, and the lights are turned off at night to operate only with the lights of the Goldfish Neputa. The train, now in its third year, will operate only in the summer, and was originally scheduled to end on August 31.

The Owani Line had a derailment accident on August 6, and all lines were suspended until August 22. "We decided to extend the service period to make up for the suspension period," said Masashi Nakata of Konan Railway's sales department.

The "Goldfish Neputa Train" is a train with goldfish Neputa on the "Owani Line Kogin Decorated Train", which has been operating since June this year. During the period, customers from Chuo-Hirosaki Station will receive a "Goldfish Neputa Train Head Mark Original Tin Badge".

Mr. Nakata said, "The lighting up at night is very popular and is appreciated by many users. Please respect the manners so as not to disturb the people around you when taking pictures."

Special light-up service at night is on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
