Matoi Hirosaki store (Tomino-cho, Hirosaki city) opened on June 17th, a fruit sandwich takeout specialty store in front of Hirosaki University.

This store always sells fruit sandwiches such as strawberries, kiwis, and melons. It is operated by Shuji Iwama, who lives in Hirosaki, with support from the opening of Matoi (Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture). The store was relocated from the "Aomori store" (Agata, Aomori City), which opened on April 15, to the "Hirosaki store".

According to Mr. Iwama, he initially considered opening a store in Hirosaki, but eventually gave up and decided to open in Aomori. "At the time, we couldn't find a property that met our conditions. We thought about opening two stores in Aomori and Hirosaki, and opened in Aomori first. I made it,” said Iwama.

The new location was the former site of a lunch box store near Hirosaki University. The store area is about 10 tsubo. At the Aomori store, 100 meals prepared in 20 minutes were sold out, and I felt a sense of accomplishment.

The menu includes "strawberry", "melon", "orange", and "kiwi" (all 580 yen), as well as a mix of 5 types, sweet potatoes (all 680 yen), cake cans (980 yen), and more. There is also a "plain" (400 yen) that does not contain fruit. The menu changes according to the season and availability.

Mr. Iwama says, “Each product is handmade one by one, and must be left to rest the day before, and the products that line up in the morning are all the products of the day. And there are people who buy multiple pieces," he said with a smile. "I want you to use it as a gift, as a reward for yourself, as a snack for mothers' parties, etc."

Business hours from 10:00 to 18:00. Closed on Tuesdays.
