On November 1st, a home-roasted bean shop "Shinjimachi Coffee" (Shinjimachi, Hirosaki City) opened along the prefectural road 28 in Hirosaki and Shinjimachi.

The same store that handles about 10 types of home-roasted blends and single coffee beans. Terumi Uchida, the owner, retired from a company employee in the city two years ago and was thinking about opening a business by making the most of his hobby coffee. This year, the flower shop, which had been in operation since the Taisho era, will be closed, and we used the traces to open it.

“I want you to find beans that suit your taste,” says Uchida. Regarding the motivation for selling coffee beans, he said, "I'm addicted to roasting, and I'm addicted to it." He said, "I wanted to enjoy freshly roasted coffee beans more easily."

The products are single beans such as "Mocha Il Gacheffy Chelect" (600 yen), "Brazil Premium Chocolate" (420 yen), "Mandelin" (400 yen), and "Mocha Blend" that is a blend of 3 types of beans. (500 yen), "Kokumare Blend" (420 yen), which is a blend of 4 types of beans, is available. All of them are sold from 100 grams, and they are confident that they "set them at a low price so that you can change them for 1,000 yen."

Nearly a month after it opened, it is said that "Shinjimachi is on the street, so tourists will come in unexpectedly." There are also elderly people who love coffee and people who drop by when visiting a grave, "In the old days, there were a lot of shops in Shinjimachi, but nowadays there are few shops. If it becomes a little lively," he said.

Business hours are from 10:00 to 18:00. Closed on Tuesdays.
