The vintage store "BUTTON UP CLOTHING" (Dotemachi, Hirosaki City, TEL 0172-37-6699 ) has moved and opened on June 3rd.

This store sells used clothes and select items purchased from the United States. In April 2015, Mr. Yusuke Tsunoda, who left the company after working for about 10 years, opened a business on the promenade "Ekidote Promenade" in Omachi.

Regarding the move to a vacant tenant in Dotemachi, Mr. Tsunoda said, "In the eight years of business, my living environment has changed, and I have started to choose furniture and lighting fixtures in addition to second-hand clothes. However, the previous store was becoming too small."

The store area is 33 tsubo, which is four times larger than the previous store. The interior of the store was remodeled with the image of America in the 1950s and 1960s. Mr. Tsunoda says, "If I find something I like, I tend to research its culture, history, and background. Everything from the lighting to the chairs in the store are carefully designed and collected, and they're all for sale."

Currently, it operates as a vintage store, but in the future they are thinking of creating a place where people can casually stop by as a cafe or community space. The name of the space is "118". Taken from the street address. Mr. Tsunoda said, "Our store opened in an open space called '118'. We want to make it a space where we can hold events, provide places that are not yet available in Hirosaki, and propose lifestyles in general." smile.

Business hours are from 13:00 to 19:00. Closed on Tuesdays.
