Asian taste cafe "Jumoji Cafe" (Nakamachi, Kuroishi, TEL 0172-55-6782) opened on September 19 near Komise-dori, Kuroishi, Aomori Prefecture.

This store is a renovated warehouse located adjacent to the Matsunoyu Exchange Center, which opened in July as a tourism and exchange facility. The NPO Yokomachi Jumonji Machisodatei, which is run by the organization, is an organization that aims to create a town that looks like Kuroishi. "I wanted to make a place to rest in the center of Kuroishi city," said Yuka Hatada of the association.

Lee Nyok Peng, the store manager, is a Malaysian Chinese, and studied abroad from Malaysia to Japan at the age of 18. I met my husband from the same city and moved to Kuroishi 13 years ago. While working for international exchanges and interpreters, he likes the city and becomes one of the founding members of the association. "There were no four seasons in Malaysia, so I was longing for snow. The four seasons of Kuroishi are clear, and the people who live here are attractive."

Lee decided to start a cafe at the same party, and Lee decided to work as a store manager, but recalls that he was worried. “It's not because we're alone, we're all helping each other,” said Lee. One month after opening, there are already repeaters, and some people will order the menu one by one. He also sells plateau vegetables produced in Kuroishi and says, "I would like to increase the number of local ingredients and Malaysian menus, and set up events."

The store area is 13.5 tsubo. There are 16 seats. The menu includes coconut chicken soup curry, "Kainan chicken rice" Malaysian chicken rice, mixed noodles (650 yen each), and lunch set menu (950 yen). The drink menu includes coffee, cocoa, “Yamaguchi-san's apple juice”, tapioca milk tea (350 yen or more) and sweets set (500 yen) with baked goods added.

Business hours are from 11:00 to 16:00. Closed on Mondays.
