On October 18th, the yoga event "Yoga in apple field" was held at Hirosaki Cider Kobo Kimori (Shimizu, Hirosaki City).

This event was the start of the "Tsugaru Bijin Project", a 1% system adoption project for Hirosaki City citizen participation type town development. The day was blessed with sunny weather and about 40 participants enjoyed an hour of yoga under the apple tree.

The yoga instructor is Yukari Narita, the representative of the project. “I went to poses that would be easy for first-timers to experience yoga, but I also improvised poses that were too exciting and difficult,” he laughs.

Mr. Moe Taniuchi, a 1st year graduate student at Hirosaki University who participated, said, “I was invited by an acquaintance to participate. It was my first time doing yoga, but when I fell asleep outside, I felt the smell of the soil, and I felt comfortable.” Yukari Soma and Rina Karina, who participated as parents and children, smiled, saying, "Try the poses you learned today at home."

After yoga, participants were treated with "Bifix 1000" co-sponsored by Ezaki Glico (Nishiyodogawa-ku, Osaka City), non-alcoholic cocktails, "apple ginger" with apple syrup divided by soda, etc. "The taste of apple is a little bit delicious," he said, relieving the tiredness of yoga.

Mr. Narita said, "Because women are strong and beautiful, they bring vitality to their homes and communities. To that end, we would like to liven up the project."

Next time, on November 23, we plan to hold a “yoga and food event” at the Roman Topia Soma of the Stars and the Forest (Aki Mizuki).
