In order to promote the tradition of Tsugaru Shamisen not only in Japan but also widely in the world, and aiming at its development, the name of the tournament will be changed from "Tsugaru Shamisen National Tournament" to "Tsugaru Shamisen World Tournament" from this year. .. In addition to the participants from Japan, there were participants from Taiwan, the United States, and the United Kingdom, making it an internationally-worthy competition worthy of the name of the world competition.

On the 4th day of the final day, the finals were held in 5 divisions, and in the A class for boys with more than 5 years of playing experience, Yoriyuki Kasai of Tsuruta-cho and Aya Kida who participated from Niigata prefecture for A class were the first Tsugaru shamisen. I got the crown of the world champion. Kasai achieved the second straight victory from the previous tournament. Kasai, who performed a masterpiece performance, is expected to win the third consecutive title in the next competition.

This time, Mr. Kida, the female A-class, won her first victory this time. The runner-up is Ai Shibata, the second daughter of the 3 Shibata brothers. My brother, Masato Shibata, and my sister, Yuri Shibata, have both achieved A-class third consecutive victories in past competitions.
