The "Tsugaru Bijin Project" was launched on October 14 in order to return "Tatenoken Prefecture" from Hirosaki to young women's consciousness.

Aomori Prefecture has the lowest average life expectancy in Japan, and it is cited as having a high smoking rate, lack of exercise, and heavy alcohol consumption. The project, which aims to educate people to become beautiful from the body by gaining knowledge and awareness of health, was started mainly by women in their 20s and 40s living in the Tsugaru area centering on Hirosaki.

Yukari Narita, who is the representative of the project, points out that “I am doing activities such as“ repatriation of short-lived prefectures ”in the prefecture, but it is not easy for me to think about it. While working as a company employee in the city, he also works as a yoga instructor. “The women in Tsugaru have an intimidating personality, and it's hard to come to the fore. I hope this project will trigger action.”

On the same day, the project members paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Hirosaki Kasai and reported the launch of the project. Mayor Kasai also said that he would like to cooperate. Ms. Megumi Kawasaki, who is a member, smiles, saying, "I would like to convey more Tsugaru beauty, like the nationally famous Akita beauty."

The project will hold a morning yoga event for women at "Hirosaki Cider Kobo Kimori" (Shimizu Tomita) on October 18th, and at "Romantopia Soma of the Stars and Forests" (Aki Mizuki) on November 23rd. And hold a food event. In collaboration with the dance studio in the city, we plan to develop hands-on classes such as Tahitian dance and salsa.

Mr. Narita is enthusiastic, "I want to engage in activities that involve young people in the community and change their consciousness."
