Aomori City has recommended that its employees wear masks, and has said it will not ask visitors to wear masks on their own. A person in charge of the personnel affairs section said, "Basically, employees who are not working at the counter do not need to wear masks.

The Aomori Museum of Art (Yasuda, Aomori City) and the Asamushi Aquarium (Asamushi) follow the prefectural policy and decide whether to wear a mask. Alcohol disinfection and temperature measurement are installed at the entrance and are optional. Staff will continue to wear masks in consideration of their health and the risk of infection.

A spokesperson for the Aomori Museum of Art said, "Regarding partitions, we will continue to install them at the reception counter and the museum shop, but we plan to remove them from the restaurant."

At the commercial complex "Sunroad Aomori" (Midori 3), employees will continue to wear masks, and customers will not be required to wear them. A person in charge said, "The full-scale removal of masks will probably take place after the new coronavirus moves to Category 5 on May 8."
