On September 20th, the Hikiya experience event "Hikiya Week" was held at Hirosaki Park (Shimohiragincho, Hirosaki City), and participants pulled the Hirosaki Castle castle tower by human power.

Hirosaki Castle is one of the 12 existing castle towers in Japan and is located in the northernmost part. It has 3 layers and 3 levels, and the height is 14.4 meters and the total weight is about 400 tons. Since the stone wall under the castle tower of Hirosaki Castle is in danger of bulging outward and falling down, the castle tower will be towed as it is and repaired.

It is said that the construction by the Hikiya is done once every 100 years, and Hirosaki Castle Tenshu, which was separated from the castle tower with a hydraulic jack on August 16, was moved using rails and carts from the 28th, and finally 3 It takes about a month to move it to a location 74 meters northwest.

At "Hikiya Week," citizens and tourists who participated in the open call for participation, centered on the "Hirosaki Castle Bite Castle Owner," who paid the tax payments of the hometown of Hirosaki City, participated. 100 people participated at once and pulled out four ropes tied to the castle tower while calling out to each other. Anka Abo, a third-year elementary school student who joined with her grandmother from Inakadate Village in Aomori Prefecture, said, "I was so happy that I didn't know how it moved." It is said that the first Hikiya moved 15 cm.

The Hikiya experience is until 27th. During the period, every day at 10:00, 11:00, 14:00, 15:00, four times a day.
