In line with the "Hirosaki Sakura Festival" that is being held, the Hirosaki City Ryokan Hotel Association will offer "Tagekuri crab soup", a specialty of the cherry blossom season, at Otemon Square (Shimohiragincho, Hirosaki City) next to Hirosaki Park. There is.

The cherry blossoms in Aomori Prefecture are in full bloom from late April to early May, and at the same time, "Tegeguri Crab" is a spring tradition of Tsugaru. It has been called the "Hanami Crab" or "Sakura Crab" since ancient times, and it is indispensable for a cherry-blossom banquet. "Togekuri crab soup," which is a large amount of togekuri crab placed in a huge pot and slowly boiled, is said to be popular this year among flower-viewing guests as well, as the umami of the crab can be fully enjoyed from the first mouth.

Seven years ago, the union started offering "Togekuri Crab Soup" as a hospitality service for tourists. There is a line every year for the "cup of warm body" in Hirosaki, which is still a little chilly. A huge pot is prepared for 1,000 cups every day, and it acts free of charge for guests of the facilities affiliated with the association, and offers it to general visitors for 300 yen per cup.

At the same venue, an event called "Hirosaki Sakura Festival / Sakura City Omotenashi Project 2014" was also held, where processed apple products, giant apple pies, tsugaru soul foods such as dried anchovy ramen, and a food court with a spot for local food. There is a corner for souvenirs and special products to bring excitement to the festival.
