On July 17, in Aomori-Owanimachi, AKB48 Team 8 Aomori Prefecture representative Yui Yokoyama participated as a special guest on the first day of "2015 Owanimachi Summer Festival".

Team 8 was formed in March 2014 as a new team of AKB48. The team, which has the concept of "an idol going to meet", selects one member each from 47 prefectures nationwide. Representative of Aomori Prefecture, Yokoyama is from the same prefecture and is active as an idol while attending school as a second year middle school student. This is the second time to participate in the festival since last year. Along with Yokoyama, eight team members of Akita Prefecture representative Tanigawa Sei and Iwate prefecture representative Sato Nanami participated.

Yokoyama and his team sang three songs from Team 8 and AKB48, held a rock-paper-scissors competition with the fans on stage, and handed the autographed colored paper to the survivors. Among the fans who received the autograph, there was a girl of the same generation as Yokoyama.

On this day, at the Hirakawa Water Park, Yokoyama-san's mini-live, live performances of the Tsugaru shamisen, and free local foods were held, and the number of visitors reached about 500.

In the future, the festival is scheduled to hold a golf tournament on July 24th and 25th, the Owani Onsen Neputa Festival from August 1st to 7th, and a memorial lantern shed on August 17th.
