The "60th Anniversary Miffy Exhibition" is currently being held at the Aomori Museum of Art (Yasuda, Aomori City).

The exhibition is touring the country starting from the April 15th in Matsuya Ginza, Tokyo. It will be held in Kobe, Fukuoka, and Nagoya in the future, and Aomori will be the first to hold it in the region. In the Tohoku area, there are currently no plans to hold events outside of Aomori, so it is the northernmost venue in Japan.

The exhibition will show about 300 original drawings, sketches, and related materials by Dutch picture book writer Dick Bruna, the creator of Miffy. The original picture of "First Miffy", which was first drawn in the picture book "Chiisana Usako-chan" published in 1955, will also be released for the first time in the world.

The "Miffy Art Parade", in which Dutch and Japanese artists and designers participated, was held to commemorate the 60th anniversary of its birth. Each artist freely painted and decorated 180 cm of miffy. At this exhibition, all 15 works of Japanese creators who participated are exhibited, including the work of Atsumi Kikuchi who was in charge of visual identity such as the symbol mark and logotype of the museum.

On June 21, Miffy's birthday, Ms. Kikuchi was invited to hold a workshop "Mini Art Parade". Participants added paintings to the unglazed mini miffy of about 15 cm, and the work produced is displayed as "Welcome Miffy" at the entrance of the venue.

A large number of original goods will be sold at the special shop in the venue. In addition to more than 400 items limited to exhibitions such as stuffed animals and figures with the motif of "First Miffy", only 400 apple apple and tote bags limited to the Aomori venue are available. The 200 items for June are already sold out, and the July items are expected to arrive in early July. Get "Miffy's Ears" with every purchase of 3,000 yen.

Holding time is from 9:30 to 17:00 (until June 30th) and from 9:00 to 18:00 (July 1st to July 20th). Admission is 1,200 yen for general / university students, 800 yen for middle and high school students, and 600 yen for 3 years old to elementary school students. Until July 20th.
