The "Red Iwaki Mountain Painting Exhibition" will be held from June 17 at "Tokiwa Hometown Museum Asuka" (Mizuki, Fujisaki-cho) in Fujisaki-cho, Aomori Prefecture.

A painting by Nobuhei Inoue, a painter who draws Mt. Iwaki called Tsugaru Fuji in red, will be exhibited. Inoue's solo exhibition at Mt. Iwaki will be the sixth, and he says, "There are many works depicting the sun and Mt. Iwaki this time." In addition to 47 works including new works, 21 works of students who go to Mr. Inoue's painting class will be displayed.

In 2002, Mr. Inoue fell in love with Mt. Iwaki and in 2002 moved from Shishiwa City in Hyogo Prefecture to Hirosaki City in Aomori Prefecture with his family. At first, he continued to shoot Mt. Iwaki with a digital camera, but in 2010 he said that he first drew a picture of Mt. Iwaki. The Iwaki mountain that I drew at that time is red, and since then, more and more facilities are exhibiting Mt. Iwaki drawn by Mr. Inoue at markets and hospitals outside the city.

“I draw Mt. Iwaki as I feel it without worrying about people's evaluations and eyes,” says Inoue. I tell the students who go to the painting class the same thing and let them draw freely. "Drawing Mt. Iwaki will lead to discovery and internal analysis. It would be great if as many visitors as possible could feel the desire to draw Mt. Iwaki on their own," calling the museum.

Opening hours are 9:00 to 16:30 (until 15:00 on the last day). free entrance. Until the 21st of this month.
