On June 9th, in the village of Inakadate, Aomori Prefecture, the "Star Wars" stormtrooper appeared in the rice planting of rice field art.

The rice paddy art in the village has many delicately drawn designs, and in addition to characters such as "Sazae-san" and "Ultraman", the theme of "Fudo Myoou" and "Amame" has been drawing attention year after year regardless of whether it is domestic or overseas. This year's theme was two works, "Gone with the Wind" and "Star Wars: The Force's Awakening," which will be released in December this year.

The theme of the 1st venue, "Gone with the Wind," will be planted on the public on June 1st, with 1800 people gathering from inside and outside the prefecture to plant rice on May 31st. The second venue, "Star Wars," was planted by local farmers and children on the 9th, but two stormtroopers appeared as a surprise. The children cheered.

Mr. Takatoshi Asari of the planning and tourism section of the village laughs, "I often get inquiries that someone in the village is inside, but it is real." The rice planting situation was also introduced on the Star Wars official website, and the official Twitter also introduced the Stormtrooper getting off at Rice Field Art Station. Comments such as "too cute" and "surrealistic images" have been received.

Rice field art has a new title in the center, droids "C-3PO" "R2-D2" on the right side, and "BB-8" which is a new character with a high reputation as "Moe Robo" on the left side ..

The second venue will be open to the public from 9:00 on June 20.
