Hirosaki City's first Starbucks coffee “Hirosaki Koenmae Store” (Kamishirogincho, Hirosaki City) will open on April 22nd.

The same store, which opens in the former Former Eighth Division Chief's Office, designated as a tangible cultural property registered by Hirosaki City Hall. It will be the second store to open a nationally registered tangible cultural property after "Kobe Kitano Ijinkan Store" in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture.

The store area is 47.35 tsubo. There are 46 seats in the store and 6 seats on the terrace. A cashier counter was set up in the former conference room, and the waiting room beside the entrance exhibited photographs of the city and became a "guest room" in the image of a study and gallery. There are two Japanese-style rooms and one is used as the main seating space.

Inside the store, lighting using "Bunaco", which was made by cutting thinly cut beech wood into a tape, was effectively used. Arranged the "Kogin Sashi" chaise lounge, which is a technique. It incorporates artwork and store designs that make the most of regional characteristics.

On the 21st, the day of the pre-opening, a line was formed with the people who had the invitation ticket of 1,200. A 30-year-old man who came from Aomori City as a parent and child said, “It was a holiday, so I stopped by after seeing the cherry blossoms. It would be nice to have a different atmosphere from Starbucks in Aomori City.”
