The final examination of the "31st Hirosaki Castle Miss Sakura Contest" was held on April 12 at the Hirosaki Cultural Center (Shimohiragincho, Hirosaki City).

As a tourist ambassador, the contest that decides mistakes to send to and from the prefecture for one year, focusing on four major festivals such as the Hirosaki Sakura Festival and the Neputa Festival. I was supposed to select 15 people in the first round, but I could not narrow down because there were more applicants this year than usual, so 18 applicants were lined up for the final examination.

Each of the 18 people was given a one-minute self-introduction and a time to answer the questions of the judges as a PR time. Some of the contestants introduced Hirosaki in English and Tsugaru-ben, and boiled the venue with masochistic stories such as "I am often mistaken for Misoji, but I am still in my twenties."

The grand prix was selected by Rinka Nozawa (21), a 4th-year university student from the same city who lives in Aomori City. He recalled that Hirosaki Park saw the four seasons on the school road in the middle and high school days, and introduced that he was running in the cherry blossoms of the park. When the grand prix winner was announced, he smiled, "I didn't realize that the called number was me and I had a weird face."

The two who were selected as the second Grand Prix Miss Sakura were Natsuki Aizu, a second year student at Hirosaki University, and Haruka Kudo, a nurse. Aizu appealed that he was a genuine Hirosaki citizen, and showed enthusiasm to introduce not only the four major festivals but also local sake. Mr. Kudo talked about his motivation to apply because he wanted to heal many people with his smile.

The first of the three unveiled will be the opening ceremony of the "Sakura Festival" to be held on April 23rd.
