On the 28th of March, a music event "Night Garden" will be held at a Western-style building in the Fujita Memorial Garden (Kamishirogincho, Hirosaki City).

This garden, which has one of the largest Japanese gardens in the Tohoku region, has a Western-style building, a Japanese-style building, and a warehouse, and is designated as a national tangible cultural property. The venue for the event, the Western-style building, was built in the Taisho era and features red spires and a warped tiled roof. It is one of the Western-style buildings that represents Hirosaki, and the cafe "Taisho Roman Cafe" in the hall is visited by many tourists.

"It's the first time for a music event to take place with drums in the same building after it's closed," says Naoko Ota of the Hirosaki Art Project Executive Committee. As part of the Hirosaki City Art Space Creation Project, "I want to hold a music event that I could not do this year," he said, starting preparations in December last year.

The 4 groups and DJs who perform are all artists with a close relationship with Aomori, centered around the city. “I was particular about local information,” said Tetsuro Narumi, a singer-songwriter from Kuroishi who is a member of the executive committee and performs live. Yokotori Yabe is a singer-songwriter from the same city who has been selected from auditions with about 7,800 participants. Currently, he is active mainly in live performances near Tokyo. In addition, Oshima Kosuke & HORNS, who have released CDs from overseas labels, and "nicotone", a dream pop band from Hirosaki, will also appear.

On the day of the event, the Taisho Roman Tea Room will sell light snacks, alcohol such as cider, and soft drinks that are not usually served. “We will light up the Western-style building with lights and create it. I think the Western-style building will have a more fantastic atmosphere,” says Ota. "I want you to enjoy Hirosaki's indie music world in the hall, where you can't usually enter at night," he invites you to visit.

    Open at 17:00. free entrance.
