On February 27, free distribution of pruned cherry tree branches was done at Hirosaki Park (Shimohiragincho, Hirosaki City).

There are about 2,600 cherry trees in the garden, and pruning will begin in late February. For pruning, apple pruning technology, which belongs to the same rose family as cherry blossoms, is used, and it is called the Hirosaki method. The reason why the cherry blossoms in the garden are said to be "the best in Japan" is because it is the largest apple-producing area in Japan, Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture.

Since the branches of cherry blossoms will bloom in about two weeks if they are submerged in water, many citizens rush to the annual “Splitting of the pruned branches of cherry blossoms”. The city of the day was cold and cold from the day before, and there was light snow from the early morning, but about 150 citizens gathered in search of cherry blossom branches. The men in their 60s who were in the front line were said to have been lined up from 6:30. A woman in her 70s living in the city said, "I wanted to decorate my home for my grandchildren who graduated from elementary school."

"I hope we can expect the same cherry blossoms this year," says Yuji Ebina, from the Greenery Division of the Park Department of the Urban Environment Department. Mr. Ebina, who is also a member of "Team Sakuramori," who manages and explains the cherry blossoms, commented, "When I confirmed the buds, 4 to 6 bunch flowers seem to bloom." A typical cherry tree has three or four bunch flowers in one bud, which means that the cherry trees in the garden are almost twice as many.

The distribution will start on March 6, 13, 20, 20 and 4 days. Both are from 8:30. It will end as soon as it disappears.
