In Kuroishi City, Aomori Prefecture, sisters who like kokeshi dolls, Himeri Kitayama and Ai Rino, are quiet topics.

Two people are currently being appointed as "signboard girls" for the poster of the "6th Fun Hina Kokeshi Exhibition" currently being held at Tsugaru Kokeshi Museum (Fukuro Toyama, Kuroishi, TEL 0172-54-8181). It will be the third appearance this year, counting from the 4th. The cover of the local magazine "Life in Aomori" published in December last year was also displayed.

Two sisters, Miu-chan (5 years old) and Riki-ai (3 years old), are grandchildren of Tsuyoshi Okumura, who runs "Okmura no Okumura" (Omachi, Kuroishi City), and are posters for the exhibition. The reason why it began to appear was "I liked Miko-chan's kokeshi dolls," said mother Mikiko. When he was 1 year old, he started to call kokeshi dolls "kokoshi", and the more he was happy to see them, the more he liked them. Regarding her favorite point, Ms. Muri-chan says she likes shapes and eyes.

More than 5,000 kokeshi dolls from all over the country are on display in the same building, where Mime-chan started going to her when she was two years old. It is said that Mio-chan always ran around with great interest without letting go of "My Kokeshi". “When I come, I enjoy it for 1-2 hours,” says Mikiko. The staff at the museum called out to Meuri-chan, and she started appearing as the "signboard girl" for the exhibition.

The sisters' kokeshi lovers are well known, and recently, they have been asked to give them by a friend in the neighborhood or Mikiko's friend. At home, there are two people who sometimes fight for kokeshi dolls or have a fight with Mamagot's cast. Mikiko laughs at a nursery school where she was known to love kokeshi dolls.

“I want to be a model for my dream in the future,” says Miri. “I'm really happy that it was on the cover of a magazine,” says Mikiko. On the other hand, Riki Ai-chan shyly answered, "I don't know."
