Hirosaki University's student group "Hiromaru" completed a map "Your Hirosaki Map" in December last year that introduces 30 stores in the center of Hirosaki City.

The group was founded in 2011 with the desire to "disclose the charm of Hirosaki from the perspective of students." Approximately 30 first- to fourth-year students from Hirosaki University are active, and issue the free paper “[h]” twice a year. Recently, he has organized a career design event targeting the youth of the city. Expanding the range of activities.

“A word from a salesclerk at the interview site,“ I want a map for young people ”was the catalyst for the production,” says Sayuri Kondo of the organization. "Because I thought that the attraction of Hirosaki was people," he said that not only store information but also salesclerks were always introduced. "I want to go to a favorite place of a favorite clerk," he introduces the clerk by using questions and portraits such as "A favorite place in Hirosaki."

The map uses an AR (augmented reality) function, and if you shoot through the smartphone's dedicated app, you can also watch a video of the inside of the store. According to a member's voice, "It's a hurdle to enter a shop that you have never used," he said. “I want to convey information that cannot be conveyed on paper using videos. I hope that I can feel free to enter the atmosphere by watching the videos,” says Kondo.

In fiscal 2014, 1700 copies were issued using the "Gakuto Hirosaki" student community activity support project subsidy. Currently, it is installed at stations, hotels, listed stores, etc. in the city, and there are plans to distribute it to tourists during the cherry blossom festival.
