    On August 9th, the “Wasao Memorial Meeting” will be held at the Nihonkaikan Ajigasawa public facility in Aomori (Ajigasawa Town, Nishitsugaru-gun).

    The same project to commemorate the popular dog "Wasao" in Ajigasawa Town, who passed away on June 8. Wasao is a long-haired Akita dog protected by the late Setuko Kikutani who was a lost dog in 2007 (Heisei 19). I also started to appear in variety programs. He has the titles such as Ajigasawa Town Special Tourism Ambassador, JR Ajigasawa Station Tourism Station Director, and the special ambassador for the World Heritage Activities of Japan “UNESCO Association” “Dog” (one-bassada).

    At a memorial meeting held on August 9, local officials said goodbye, and the last owner of Wasao, Setsuko's eldest son, Tadamitsu Kikutani, participated. A memorial service corner will be set up inside the venue to allow general visitors to donate flowers until August 16.

    From August 5th, the "Wasao Memorial Photo Exhibition" will be exhibited together. Ken Kudo, a spokeswoman for the Wasa Thank You Executive Committee, said, "We plan to display photos of the first public release alongside the basic content of the life of Wasao." Photo exhibition until 30th.
