Hiroki Takatori, who was the manager of the live house "Hirosaki Mag-Net" (Motonji-cho, Hirosaki City) that closed in March, is now calling for financial support by crowdfunding to create a new live house in Hirosaki. There is.

We plan to open this summer and later in an empty building of a craft store near the Hirosaki Park Hotel, which closed last year. "The place of the old record shop JOY-POPS. It's a store I used to go to and I decided to restore music in this place," says Takatori.

Takatori is from Hokkaido and started living in Hirosaki when he entered university. He also continued his band activities in Hirosaki, and worked for Hirosaki Magnet for 18 years. The closing of the store was announced in July last year, and most of the live events that have been around for 23 years have been canceled due to the new coronavirus. A strong thought was born, "Incomplete combustion.

The funds raised will be used for the renovation of the building. It is a 3-storey building with 190 square meters per floor. Approximately two-thirds of the first floor will be used as a live venue, and one-third will be the entrance, and it will be used for new toilet construction, soundproofing equipment, and air conditioning equipment. Mr. Takatori says, "The second floor will be used as a dressing room and office, and the third floor is being planned. "If it becomes a place that can be used not only for music but for performing, talk live, etc."

When we started recruiting from April 13, we achieved our initial goal of 8 million yen in three and a half days. Currently, the amount has been set at 12 million yen in order to allocate funds for better ventilation. Already, more than 600 supporters and more than 10 million yen have been raised (as of April 22, 10:00). Mr. Takatori says, "Thanks to the supporters beyond my imagination, I feel thankful even at this time. I'm trembling at the enthusiasm of everyone who was entrusted."

The name of the new live house is "KEEP THE BEAT". Takatori-san's favorite punk band "Snuff" is a song that means "continue to beat". Mr. Takatori said, "The new coronavirus has eliminated music events and endangered the viability of live houses nationwide. There was concern about crowdfunding and maybe even a scolding voice. Believe it and we will make sure that we will prepare a place for people to gather again with music.”

    Recruitment is until May 25.
