Hirosaki's coffee shop "Luana cafe Do" (Kitakawabata, Hirosaki, TEL 0172-35-4094) relocated and opened on April 4.

This store has been running on the second floor of Hirosaki Park Hotel (Dote-cho) since 1983 (Showa 58), and is currently run by two parents, Sachiko Kawashima and his eldest son, Keisuke. Moved to the second floor of the multi-tenant building near the Konan Railway Chuohirosaki Station, added "Luana" (meaning "happiness place" in Hawaiian language) to the store name, and changed the store image to Hawaiian style.

The reason for the move is said to be the invitation from Akiko Fujisaki, the eldest daughter who runs "Kimberley English School", an English conversation class on the third floor of the multi-tenant building. "I learned from my sister that there was a tenant on the second floor, so I decided to move it when the Hirosaki Brick Warehouse Museum opened."

Mr. Fujisaki also participated in the store creation. Inside the store, a picture of Hawaii inspired by Mr. Fujisaki is displayed, and at the counter, a roof made in the style of Alan Alan is installed. “I like Hawaii and go to Hawaii a few times a year. Since I rarely feel Hawaii while I'm in Hirosaki, I wanted to make it a place where I can feel Hawaii,” says Fujisaki.

Keisuke-san's idea was to install two 55-inch screens. To develop public viewing such as watching sports. Keisuke says with a smile, "I wanted to incorporate into the new store what I couldn't do in the previous store." The store area is 15 tsubo and the number of seats is 24.

Menus include hamburger set meal (900 yen), ginger grilled meal set (930 yen), German sausage set meal (920 yen), curry rice (700 yen), and new "hamburger/potato" menu. We have introduced Hawaiian-style menus such as (600 yen), Loco Moko rice bowl (980 yen), Poki rice bowl (1,200 yen), and Acai bowl (650 yen). In response to take-out, the "Coffee Ticket" (3,182 yen, all prices excluding tax), which allows you to drink 11 cups of coffee (400 yen) that were popular at the previous store indefinitely, will be sold.

Keisuke says, "Some of our regular customers are surprised by the image change of the store, but my mother and I are doing the store without changing the food. I am not used to the new store, I want to make it a store that can last for 10 or 20 years." As a preventive measure against new-type coronavirus infection, disinfectant solution is always provided at the entrance and exit of the store.

Business hours are from 8:00 to 22:00 (currently until 20:00. It may change depending on the leave request due to the declaration of emergency)
