    The “Hirosaki Brick Warehouse Museum” (Yoshino-cho, Hirosaki City), which was scheduled to open on April 11, is currently postponed due to the new coronavirus.

    The same building that was renovated from the Yoshino-cho brick warehouse constructed in the Meiji and Taisho eras as Hirosaki City's first public museum. There are two buildings, the museum building and the cafe building, and the museum building has been postponed to open on March 31st. The changed opening date will be announced on the website as soon as it is decided.

    The cafe building will pre-open from April 11th until it officially opens. Inside the building, "A-FACTORY Hirosaki Yoshinomachi Cider Kobo" and "Cafe Restaurant BRICK" are opened. "A-FACTORY" is a workshop with 7 tanks installed, and in May we plan to release Apple Soda (non-alcoholic) that combines three apple varieties. Cider will be available from June onwards, with seven types planned for 2020.

    "BRICK" offers international cuisine with the concept of a family restaurant, using ingredients from Aomori prefecture. As a pre-menu, à la carte such as "Aomori Bone Chicken Thigh Meat Confit" (1,200 yen), "Today's Pasta" (1,200 yen), "Beetroot and Orange Smoblow" (900 yen) and "Adult One Plate" Lunch menus such as "Lunch" (1,400 yen) and dinner menus (1,800 yen and up) are available. In addition to drink menus such as "3 types of cider drinks from Hirosaki" (1,500 yen), there are also take-out menus such as "BRICK Sand" (1,000 yen).

    Inside the store is a shop selling museum goods and works by Hirosaki artists. At the time of the pre-opening, 9 sets of works and goods by Hiroto-born contemporary artist Yoshitomo Nara will be sold.

    The cafe building pre-open hours are from 11:00 to 15:00 and 17:00 to 21:00. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
