Hirosaki City announced that it will close Hirosaki Park from April 10th to May 6th.

The park is closed to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus. Measures from the city's announcement on April 1 and the flowering of cherry blossoms has begun. At the beginning of March 26, when we announced that the Hirosaki Sakura Festival was cancelled, we planned to illuminate it at night and set up a lantern, but we decided to cancel it for the purpose of protecting the health and life of the citizens, and announced the closure of the park.

Of the 8 entrances and exits in Hirosaki Park, the civic center and the city museum are open without closing the civic center entrance. In addition to the remaining 7 locations, barricades will be installed at 11 locations including the entrance to the cherry blossom tunnel, the cedar bridge, the city museum and the passages beside the tennis court. The West Bank of Nishibori is also used as a residential road and will not be closed.

The Otemon Gate, where the barricade will be installed, the East Gate, and the Kameikomon will be closed. All three towers were built in 1611 (Keicho 16) and are designated as important cultural properties. According to a person in charge of the Tourism Division of Hirosaki City, there was a record that the East Gate was closed when it was used as a military facility during the war, but there is a record that Hirosaki City closed the gate and closed the park. Not said.

It will be closed from 18:00 on April 10th.
