At the roadside station Tsugaru Shirakami (formerly Beach Nishimeya, Nishimeya Muratashiro), the second half of the exhibition "Kogin no Ima Exhibition" began on February 1st.

"Tsugaru kogin sashimi" is a traditional technique of sashimi in the Tsugaru region. In recent years, it has been sewn on a variety of small items such as coasters and walnut buttons, and is gaining attention mainly from women. The exhibition will be supervised by Tokyo-based graphic designer Kogin artist Masamasa Yamabata, and will exhibit and sell the works and materials of about 40 artists from inside and outside the prefecture.

Mr. Yamabata said, “Continuing from the previous period, some of the exhibited works can be filmed, and there are some rare things that are not open to the public. It is also a valuable opportunity to see history and cultural materials and enjoy it many times. It is the content."

Participants from both inside and outside the prefecture gathered for a Tsugaru kogin stab experience, an appreciation event for old kogin, and visited the exhibition. Naho Kikuchi, who participated from Tokyo, said, "I don't think there is such an opportunity to meet so many different kinds of kogin from old works to graphics."
