The co-working space "Office Sutzen" is currently open for a limited time in the former Sutzen Building in Aomori/Kuroishi (Yokomachi, Kuroishi).

The building is located on Nakamachi Komise-dori, which was selected as one of the "100 Best Roads in Japan." The first floor was a store selling household goods and the second floor was a living space. Junya Ota of the NPO Yokomachi Jumonji Machisodatekai said, "The old Stozen Building is located at the main intersection of Nakamachi Komise Dori and Yokomachi. I was wondering if there was a way to open the shutter." Speak to.

This year, led by Mr. Ota, various projects such as free rest areas and movie screening events were held to utilize the building. “There were many citizens who were happy that the building was open. We would like to challenge experimental projects and adopt those that received more feedback so that they can be operated continuously,” says Ota.

"Office Sutzen" started on October 14th. Extend the power cable and place the outlet on the table. In addition to being equipped with wi-fi, the store will sell confectioneries and provide coffee using glass cases. A copier is also installed, and you can print up to 10 sheets in black and white or for free.

During business hours, home-based workers who work mainly in the city are stationed as managers. Satomi Aizawa, one of the managers, said, “Because I can interact with people from different industries, it is much more stimulating than working at home. Not only for work, but also for work, study, reading, meetings, etc. Of course, people outside the city are welcome to use it."

The current number of users is 1-2 per day. There are days when we don't have any customers, so it's sad to end up without being able to use the facilities we have prepared.

Mr. Ota calls, "I would like to hear your ideas, candid impressions, and opinions about how to use the old Sutzen Building in the future."

Business hours are 10:00 to 16:00 and 18:00 to 22:00 (Wednesday to Saturday). Closed on Sundays. The usage fee is 100 yen per hour (up to 500 yen). Free food and drinks. Until November 30th.
