The Aomori Prefectural Forest Association Aizugaru Timber Distribution Center (Kodaishi Tadashi Kashiwagiyama, TEL 0172-52-5011) is currently holding the "34th Prefectural Goods Exhibition and Sale".

Every year in autumn, the event sells and sells excellent timber collected from all over Aomori prefecture. This year, more than 20 types of trees, 6342 trees were lined up on the site of about 18,000 square meters.

Wood related people from all over the country fill in the desired amount and bid. Even ordinary people can bid, and you can participate on the spot if you register and pay the deposit.

According to the person in charge of the Aomori Prefectural Forest Association, the natural cedar that won the Aomori Prefecture Governor's Award is estimated to be 300 years old. "In recent years, it's an unusual size. It's worth seeing not only the size but also the shape," said the person in charge.

"Aomori is rich in tree species and many high-value trees. You can visit it freely, so it would be a good opportunity to come in contact with the wood produced in the prefecture."

Holding time is from 8:00 to 17:00. The bid deadline is 12:00 on the 11th.
