On October 10, in Kuroishi City, Aomori Prefecture, the hot spring inn "Mori no Akari" (Itadome, Kuroishi City, TEL 0172-54-8028) exclusively for staying overnight started operating.

This facility is a refurbishment of "Nishi Towada Youth Hostel" that lasted until 1987. There will be a free-flowing hot spring from Itadome Onsen, and a cafe corner during the day. Quadruple room = 5 rooms, Double room = 4 rooms. Only overnight stays are available, and guests can only use the hot springs. The cafe corner offers Kuroishi Yakisoba (650 yen), coffee (400 yen), and the long-established confectionery store "Kuroishi Tatami" (200 yen). You can also use the cafe corner only.

Mr. Fukushi, the managing director of "Tsugaru Saiko", operates for 40 years at Lamp no Yado "Aoni Onsen" (Okiura Aonizawa Takinoue) and became independent eight years ago. It operates facilities such as "Tsugaru Traditional Crafts Museum" and "Oyama no Moshi School" in the city. Regarding the opening of business, he said, "I wanted to create an inn that would serve as a base for a long-term stay and cheap sightseeing in the Tsugaru area where there are many tourist resources."

The facility is located in the center of areas such as Hirosaki, Hakkoda, Oirase, Towada, and "the location was ideal," Fukushi said. In the future, we are planning to propose accommodation plans for foreigners and enjoy sightseeing even in winter, such as snow riding experience.

Mr. Fukushi says, “The“ Aoni Onsen ”, a lamp inn that does not use electricity, was a customer's idea.” I try to interact actively with customers and collect their voices. "We're getting ideas from our customers right away," he said, considering adding a covered parking lot for motorcycles and a multipurpose space for barbecues.

The room rate is 3,000 yen per person per night (excluding consumption tax and bath tax). A separate heating charge (500 yen) is required per room during the winter. 100,000 yen if the entire building is reserved. Check-in = 15: 00-Check-out = 10:00. The cafe corner is open from 10:00 to 16:00.
