    At the teco gallery (Furukawa, Aomori City), a special exhibition “Bombing!

    KOREJANAI ROBO is a wooden robot toy sold by the Taro Shoten label of Crawfish Works (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo). The name derives from the unique concept that a child who opened a gift yells "This is not it!" In 2008, it won the Good Design Award and various related products are on sale.

    In the same exhibition entitled "Korejanai Robo and Autumn of Fun to Enjoy", in addition to more than 10 Korejana Robot, Tsugaru Nuri, the northernmost lacquerware in Japan with a tradition of 300 years or more centered on Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture We are exhibiting KOREJA Nairobo, which we collaborated with.

    At the opening talk show held on October 11, Crawfish Works representatives Taro Takegasa and Yoshinori Sakamoto were invited as guests from Tokyo, and Shoji Matsuyama who applied Tsugaru paint attended from Hirosaki.

    At the beginning of the talk show, Mr. Matsuyama declared, "I was planning to make 5 bodies, but I could not make it in time, so the other 2 bodies will be completed during the exhibition period." When I took out the parts I was working on from the paper bag, Sakamoto-san immediately pointed out, "Isn't it so random to handle this?" And invites a laugh at the venue. "It's not Tsugaru-nuri if it's broken like this," Matsuyama replied.

    “I've been thinking about collaborating with traditional crafts for a long time,” says Takegasa. When he saw the completed works actually arranged, he expressed his candid impression, "I'm happy," and said, "I would like to continue this kind of collaboration."

    Seiya Yamauchi of the gallery said, “The project was born out of chat.” At the "Art Goods Design Coordinator Training Training" held at the Towada City Museum of Contemporary Art in 2012, two people from Crawfish Works were invited as instructors. When Matsuyama called out, he immediately agreed. “It was my first time to draw a face on a Tsugaru coat with a magic pen, and I found it interesting,” laughs Matsuyama.

    On October 26th, "Korejanai Robo / Workshop 2" will be held at the gallery. The instructor is Natsue Yamaoka, a Tsugaru coating craftsman, who makes Korejanai accessories from lacquered plastic boards. The participation fee is 1,300 yen including material costs. Prior application is required to participate.

    Opening hours are from 11:00 to 19:00. Until November 3rd.
