A chiffon cake and soft bagel shop “migle” (Tohoku, Hirosaki City) opened near Choshiro Park on September 26th.

Nara Gaku and Yuka's couple opened the store. In 2002, they moved from Hirosaki City to Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture, in order to broaden their horizons. Gaku works as a nurse, and Yuka goes to a cooking class and learns about chiffon cake. He said, "I want to have a shop that can serve such delicious chiffon cakes."

Two people who wanted to return to their local Hirosaki in the future and want to have their own store. Two years ago, he returned to Japan because he wanted to enroll his eldest son in a local elementary school, and decided to start his own business by himself. “There were a lot of surprises from the people around us when we started operations in different fields,” says Gaku, who smiles.

The chiffon menu is cut size, plain (130 yen), chocolate (150 yen), matcha and azuki, apple (170 yen or more). There are also preparations in the hall. The bagel menu is plain (120 yen), cheese, caramel and walnuts (150 yen or more), as well as bagel pizza made from bagels such as misotama corn, tomato sauce, jagarashirus (180 yen or more). We also have products such as maple honey peanut scones (100 yen) that does not use butter.

The couple decided to eat the bagels after eating and eating after trial and error. New York-style bagels are too stiff, so they tend to soften the dough and add more ingredients. Gaku says, "Because there isn't much bagel culture in Hirosaki yet, I hope it will take root."

From the pre-opening, it became a hot topic in word-of-mouth and Facebook, and it is said that there are days when lines can be formed or sold out before opening. “The number is limited because it is handmade, but in the future we would like to increase the number that can be made and increase the menu,” says Yuka. Notifications of new menus will be made on the Facebook page.

Business hours are from 10:00 to 17:00. Closed Sundays and 2nd and 4th Mondays.
